Norbert Siedler 7th in Qualifying for Kruse Motorsport
Kruse Motorsport driver Norbert Siedler qualified 7th on the grid for Sunday's 1000 KM race at Valencia. The 24-year-old from Wildschönau in Austria was fighting with some slight handling problems but remains confident that his #44 Judd-powered Pescarolo will be competitive under race conditions.
Kai Kruse (Team Manager): "It is needless to say that Norbert gave his maximum and as usual he got the best of his new set of tyres. We know that there are some quicker cars out there, but based on our calculations we should be in a very good position tomorrow. The category is very competitive and I am sure the fans will see a lot of overtaking in the race."
Norbert Siedler (Driver): "To be honest the handling of the car was a little bit better in the morning, but at least we should know what to do for tomorrow. I have a deep trust in our race engineer Season Thompson who knows exactly what it needs to improve the car. I am thankful for some substancial modifications and I am sure we will come to speed again when it counts tomorrow afternoon."
Sean Thompson (Race Engineer): "We are still learning the car but that's a normal situation. The good news is, we are on the overtaking lane and I am sure we can make the gap closer and closer race by race. A good result tomorrow would be the perfect motivation for the entire team."
