Joel Camathias had a positive Le Mans Series weekend at Spa.
In spite of the eleventh position in the GT2 Class at the end of the 1000 km race, which could be a little bit better, a top eight finish was on the potential of the team, James Watt Automotive squad with their drivers, Joel Camathias, Paul Daniels and Dave Cox, did a step forward in term of pace. In fact, as a confirmation of that, Swiss GT ace, Joel Camathias (26), driving James Watt Automotive # 95 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR complete with Pirelli tyres, qualified fourth in the Saturday qualifying session, a brilliant result which reward the hard work of team and drivers.
"We are improving a lot and this is really important. The Porsche [Porsche 997 GT3 RSR] is the best GT2 car, but it`s very sensible to set-up changing, then to find the right way it take some time. We worked hard to be on the front and to have a good pace, and I guess that the fourth place in qualifying it was a result of this. We still have a lot to do, but as I said we are improving! A big thanks to JWA squad for the hard work of this weekend as well as to my team- mates Paul [Daniels] and Dave [Cox] and to Pirelli for supplying us with such of competitive tyres. Thank you guys!".
We will see Joel back in action with Autorlando-Sport squad on August, 25th and 26th, at the fourth weekend of the International GT Open at Oschersleben (Germany).
