The Seikel Motorsport Team finished the 1000km of Silverstone, last week-end, in the eight place of the GT2 category and 27th overall. Philip Collin, Horst Felbermayr Snr and Jr had a difficult race, under bad weather conditions. After having scored their first podium in the LMES at Monza, this week-end was not that glorious as the Italian one. The Team is now lying in 4th place in the class standings, with 12 points, after three rounds.

"There is no doubt that it was the most difficult race of the season, so far. The car was good, but I have asked to the drivers to be cautious. But I think they were too cautious at the beginning of the race and lost some ground under the rain. Then with the pace car situations it was impossible to gain more places, so I'm rather pleased with this result in the particular context we had at Silverstone. Anyway, the team did a very good work during the week-end" said Peter Seikel after the race.

Seikel Motorsport will continue the 2005 LMES campaign at the Nurburgring, at the very beginning of September. Last year, the team finished fourth in the class on the German circuit, which hosted the European GP, back in May.
