REBELLION Racing confirms its strong pace in qualifying with 5th place and the highest placed petrol engined prototype.

Andrea Belicchi achieved the fifth fastest time in the qualifying session for the 1000 km of Silverstone and in so doing placed the Lola-Rebellion # 13 as the first of the petrol prototypes. With a lap time of 1'45''731, the Italian driver powered his Lola B10/60 up just behind the Audi and Peugeot diesel cars and in front of the factory Lola-Aston Martins.

Neel Jani with the # 12 car set the eighth fastest time of the session, after being impeded by less favourable track conditions ( traffic, debris on the track ...).

The result of these qualifying and practice sessions are evidence of the progress that has been made by the team to improve their cars throughout the season.

REBELLION Racing is now preparing for tomorrow's race where they hope to achieve a good result, perhaps even a podium ...

Andrea Belicchi: "It's a good result, I am happy with my lap. The car is very good, the changes we have made for the qualifying session were the right ones. I am optimistic for the race. Having all the other LMP1 petrol cars behind us is also very satisfying, including the Aston Martins which were expected to be very fast here. "
