LOLA-REBELLION LEADS MANUFACTURER'S CLASSIFICATION
REBELLION Racing has raced Lola-Rebellion to the top of the LMP1 Manufacturer points standings after four rounds of the 2010 Le Mans Series. With 84 points, Lola-Rebellion is leading in front of Peugeot (82), Lola-Aston Martin (75) and Audi (54).
The combined efforts of Lola, Sebah Automotive, Engine Developments and Rebellion Timepieces to build and develop the Lola-Rebellion since last winter have brought that result.
Both Lola-Rebellions from REBELLION Racing will head to the 1000 km of Silverstone, the final round of the 2010 Le Mans Series, from 10 to 12 September, with the strong aim of winning the manufacturer's trophy.
Winning the LMP1 Le Mans Series Manufacturers Championship would be a historical result, in front of " factory " teams like Peugeot, Audi or Aston Martin and would be just reward for the core values of technology, quality and teamwork shared by Lola, Sebah Automotive, Engine Developments and Rebellion Timepieces.
Bart HAYDEN, REBELLION Racing Team Manager:
"We really want to win the Le Mans Series Manufacturer Championship. This award would mean a lot for us, the win would be a fantastic result for a private team like ours. With Sebah Automotive, we have been an active part of this project from the beginning and we would like to engrave the Lola-Rebellion name in Le Mans history as the final manufacturer to win in the current LMP1 regulations. The team have improved at each outing with the Lola-Rebellion, we should have confidence in the pace of our cars and our determination will be strong for the best possible results at Silverstone."
Alexandre PESCI, CEO REBELLION Timepieces:
"We are proud to have been at the core of this project. We were attracted by the idea of the REBELLION engine being not just a rebranding, but a technological partnership between Rebellion Timepieces and (Judd) Engine Developments Limited. The REBELLION engine received new components and a new and specific engine management system to improving the performance of the package. We have already received benefits from the synergy of Rebellion Timepieces associating the brand with a race engine. Winning the LMP1 Manufacturers Championship would be enormous for our company."
