A fourth place too tight for Thomas, because of an unexpected stop

Algarve (P), August 2nd 2009 After 1000 Km driven with a qualification speed the Italian trio Biagi Bobbi - Piccini ends up the race at the fourth place with some regret. After Thomas' start with a double stint and after the first hour driven by Bobbi, Racing Box N.30 car was in the second place, when the driver from Milan unluckily was forced to stop for the high oil temperature, due to a piece of synthetic grass obstructing the radiator.

Hereafter Thomas' declaration at the end of the 6 hour race: "A real pity. It was clear, we have all given our best. We were at the second place, after the invincibile duo Ginetta-Zytek. I thank the hard work of whole Racing Box, Michelin and my faultless team-mates. Watching at the good part of this, we are second in the Championship ranking, we will have to push in the last two races.

This racetrack is wonderful, the most demanding I have ever seen. I wish I'll soon be back on September 20th for the FIA GT race".
