Perazzini-Cioci-Griffin are second in the European Le Mans Series
DONINGTON – Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci and Matt Griffin took the second position in the “6 Hours of Donington”, second round of the European Le Mans Series. The trio raced in the GTE Am category on AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT2.
After the pole position and the front row among the GTE Am cars, they ran a concrete race but the changeable weather did non permit to show the real potential of the car and drivers. However, the trio fought till the last minute of the British race after a very hard and tight six hours competion. They took the chequered flag with a very little gap from the top of the category.
Thanks to their results, Perazzini-Cioci-Griffin are 2nd in the Driver standing of the championship with 34 points (against the 43 of the first GTE Am crew). In the Team standing, the points are the same with AF Corse in second position of the GTE Am (34 points). Ferrari is leading the Manufactures standing thanks to 85 points (Porsche is 2nd with 45).
