DONINGTON – Positive perfomance for Pecom Racing team and its drivers – Luis Perez Companc, Pierre Kaffer and Soheil Ayari – in the “6 Hours of Donington”, second race of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
The trio on Oreca 03-Nissan took the chequered flag in 5th overall and LMP2 position, the new leading and hard-fought category of the ELMS.
The Argentinian team gained the result despite external events affected the endurance race. Following these, the Oreca 03-Nissan lost time in the first part of the race. Once solved them, Perez Companc, Kaffer and Ayari showed a very fast pace in the race and went up in the classification. They started in 9th position on the grid and finished the race 5th.
After two races of the ELMS, Perez Companc and Kaffer are in 5th position of the Drivers standing with 16 points (Ayari has 10 points because he did not race the first round of championship). The same is in the Team standing with the Argentinian squad in 5th place (16 points).
