The Seikel Motorsport Team was present at the Nürburgring the last week-end, for the 4th round of the 1000km LMES races. The three drivers Philip Collin, Horst Felbermayr Snr and Jr couldn't cross the finish line, as a transmission problem occurred three and a half hours into the race, while lying 7th in the LM-GT2 standings.
"I am very happy with the way the week-end has been going, we were quicker and quicker every time we went out and we had a very stable car for the race. We did what we normally do: keep working all the way through the field. Unfortunately the half-shaft failed right after the pit lane exit and there was nothing we can do. We are really waiting for the race in Istanbul and hope to get a good finish in order to improve our position in the standings" said the American Philip Collin at the end of the race.
Seikel Motorsport, actually 5th in the LM-GT2 standings, will continue the 2005 LMES campaign at the Otodrom Park in Istanbul, at mid November. This will be the first LMES race ever organised in Turkey.
