Nicolas Minassian confirmed today that he will race once again with Creation Autosportif in the Le Mans Endurance Series in 2005. The talented Frenchman joined the team at the start of 2004 and competed in the inaugural European LMES series capturing two Pole Positions and two podium positions before heading to the ALMS to compete in the final two rounds of the season where he took front row starts at both events, starting on Pole at the season finale.
"I'm very happy to come back to Creation and it's great to have Jamie (Campbell-Walter) back as a team-mate, it gives us some continuity which is what we need," said Minassian. "Last year was a steep learning curve for our young team, we showed we had the speed to compete against the best, but didn't always get the results we deserved. This year we will get those results!! The team has worked very hard and I am confident that we can not only go for race wins again this year, but also have a look at the Championship."
Minassian is also looking forward to the classic Le Mans 24 hour race. "Le Mans is very important to me naturally and this year I think it is the turn of a Frenchman to take the win," Minassian said. "Le Mans is very important to every French driver and as ever I am in it to win it."
A significant testing and development programme with Creation Autosportif will commence mid-January to prepare them for the year ahead and keep the 2004 Champion Audi R8s on their toes in 2005.
