Paul Belmondo Racing won the LM P2 class with the #36 Courage C65 Ford of Claude-Yves Gosselin, Karim Ojjeh and Vincent Vosse finishing in fourth place overall. "I suppose we had a tough race," said Gosselin. "It's the type of race you like to win because you have to stay on the track. We did not have a problem with the car. It was running perfectly. The team-mates did a great job and I'm very happy. It was a nice feeling to finish the race. At the end we had a small problem with then engine so it's good that the race finished."
The GT1 class was won by the Menx Ferrari 550 Maranello of Robert Pergi, Peter Kox and Jarek Janis. "For us the race was very good because we were lucky that we didn't touch anyone and we stayed on the pace", said Janis. "I must thank our technicians because we did have one problem. We were keeping our pace and we are lucky to be the first." Kox added: "It's a fantastic result. I would like to thank he marshals because most of them did a good job and the weather was really bad."
The Sebah Automotive Porsche 996 GT3 of Xavier Pompidou and Marc Lieb won the GT2 class. Pompidou kept the car on the track during a very strong opening stint and took advantage of other drivers' mistakes to move into the top ten overall, and then Lieb kept up the good work during the latter half of the race. The Autorlando Sport Porsche 996 GT3 RSWR of Franco Groppi, Luigi Moccia and Mike Rockenfeller was never far behind and the battle between the two was one of the highlights of the race.
"It was a good race us for us", said Pompidou. "Two cars on the podium is a dream. I have one of the best team-mates in the world so the work is not too hard! The race was hard. I leave my team-mate for a few hours in the car and he did a great job." Lieb added: "It was a fantastic job and it's really good to be up there again after Monza. For sure the rain helped us - we had fantastic tyres from Dunlop."
