The fifth race of the LMES endurance series takes place in Istanbul and one of the participating teams will again be G-Force, the team of Frank Hahn. On the brand new Autodromo of Istanbul, the LMES championship will be decided after a thrilling and exciting season. Tim Greaves, Jean-François Leroch and Frank Hahn will take the wheel of the Courage C65-Judd and they will try to do better than the 4th spot of the Nürburgring-race in September. Just before leaving Belgium, Frank looked forward to the last race but also made a first round up of the season so far.
"I hope we get there", smiles Frank Hahn. "The organization of the trip to Turkey was far from easy and travelling over sea to Istanbul is also something special. But all this is part of participating in a strong international series."
"We will race again with jean-François Leroch as he knows the car very well. I'm very glad to finish the season with Jean-François. Tim greaves makes his reappearance after Silverstone and I'm sure that Tim will put up a great performance."
"My hopes for Istanbul are first of all to have a trouble-free race. In Silverstone, we lost a good position after some race incidents and a podium was lost at the Ring after a mechanical misfortune. My ambition is not only to have a good race but also to finish high up the ranks. A podium would be, for this last race, a great reveal for the entire team."
"G-Force goes on in 2006", continues Frank, "we are already preparing 2006. The LMES organization recently published a (provisional) calendar for the upcoming season, which gives a good idea of what 2006 will be like. We compete again the 5 rounds of the LMES-series (Belgium, Germany, Great- Britain, Italy and most likely Turkey) and if possible the Le Mans 24 hours. Starting the season at Spa is an advantage for the Belgian teams. As the opening race of the season is rather late, in the middle of May, we have quite some time to prepare the season technically and financially, which is clearly another advantage.
"We finish our season in Zolder on the 24th of November", finishes Frank. "We wanted to do something special for the Belgian fans and so we decided to take the car to the Belgian track and do some laps and do some testing over there. Kruse Motorsport will be there also, as well as our 'little' PRC. Everybody is welcome to see all the prototypes go round the Zolder track before we start the winter season.
