MATTEO BOBBI'S COMMENT AFTER THE RETIREMENT AT MIL MILHAS
The first Mil Milhas race of Matteo Bobbi concluded with a retirement due to technical problems. The Milanese Champion, commented the race delineating the outcome of his Brazilian experience:
"I liked a lot the Interlagos track as well as the event organization that attracted a large crowd on grand stands and a high number of cars at the getaway.
Our race has not been so positive: during initial stages De Simone bumped by accident an opponent, in what seemed to be a contact without particular consequences. But within the next stint, while I was driving, the fire extinguisher tank suddenly detached from its bearing in a fast corner probably due to the previous accident. For this reason, a pit stop was necessary whereby we lost 9 laps. Back on track we partially recovered but with a hour and half to go, after a contact with a curb, the front splitter and the flat bottom of the car turned away and this forced us to the retirement. If we had finished the race, we would probably conclude in eighth position, but this has nevertheless been an interesting experience, that will turn useful next year in a potential participation to this competition".
