Audi triumphs at Silverstone

Pierre Kaffer and Allan McNish emerge as consecutive winners in the new Le Mans Endurance Series (LMES). After their victory at the Nurburgring, the German-Scottish duo, driving for Audi Sport UK Team Veloqx, also won the third of the season's four races at Silverstone. At the finish of the 1000-kilometre race, they had a one-lap lead over their brand colleagues Seiji Ara and Rinaldo Capello in another Audi R8. Jamie Davies and Johnny Herbert made the podium lockout perfect for Audi with their third position. With their victory, Kaffer and McNish also took the lead in the LM P1 drivers' championship.

Finnish Super 2000 TCC:
Audi driver Haapalainen wraps up title early

Audi has already secured its first 2004 title: In Finland, Olli Haapalainen won the Finnish Super 2000 Touring Car Championship with his Audi A4 STCC. After retiring in the first race, the Finn showed his class in the second race at Kemora by keeping his arch rival Pasi Lahteenmaki at bay to clinch the championship with a win.

STCC:
Ekblom defends third position

Audi driver Fredrik Ekblom has defended third place overall in the Championship with a sixth and eighth place finish in the Swedish Touring Car Championship's (STCC) race at Karlskoga. Ekblom started from pole position in the second race, but was the victim of a barging match between his rivals at the first corner. The defending champion took up the chase from the back of the field and fought his way up to eighth place in his Audi A4 STCC.
