Spengler to be dropped two places on the grid for the next race
Bruno Spengler will probably like to erase the weekend at Oschersleben from his memory as quickly as possible.
First, he lost his pole position, then he retired from the race and thus lost his chances of defending the title and finally, he also got a penalty for the upcoming DTM round at Zandvoort.
At Oschersleben, BMW driver Spengler and his Canadian compatriot Robert Wickens (Mercedes-Benz) had collided on lap 38 and then both retired.
The stewards put the blame for the crash on Spengler and imposed a grid penalty of two places for the upcoming race on September 29th on the ousted 2012 champion.
