Opel has confirmed it will field seven cars for the 2004 season, Jeroen Bleekemolen completing the squad in a 2003 spec Opel Astra V8 Coupé for Euroteam. The Dutchman made his DTM debut with Opel last year in the same team and finished 13th over all.

The six new Vectra GTS V8 models the manufacturer is introducing will be split into two teams. Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Manuel Reuter and Timo Scheider will drive for OPC Team Holzer, while Peter Dumbreck, Laurent Aiello and Marcel Fässler will compete for OPC Team Phoenix.

"We are continuing our co-operation with the teams OPC Team Holzer, OPC Team Phoenix and OPC Euroteam, because in the past years, it has proven to be effective," said Opel motorsport manager Volker Strycek at a press conference in Rüsselsheim on March 12th.
