Opel has finalized its driver and team allocation for 2003, fielding four new Astra V8 coupés and two 2002 spec cars. Holzer, Phoenix and Euroteam will be prefixed with OPC this season, the designation marking exclusive vehicles in the Opel product and performance range.

Manuel Reuter, formerly Phoenix, and Alain Menu, who moves from Euroteam, will drive the Holzer cars. Head of the Augsburg -based team is Guenther Holzer.

Timo Scheider moves to Phoenix from Holzer and will be partnered by new Opel signing, and ex-Mercedes driver, Peter Dumbreck. Head of Meuspath-based Team Phoenix is Ernst Moser.

Euroteam, headed by Gabriele Seresina, will run the pair of 2002 cars with Joachim Winkelhock and another new signing, Jeroen Bleekemolen.

"We have a strong driver crew with a good mixture of experienced and young drivers," said Opel boss Volker Strycek. "The new arrangement will provide additional strength and a fresh outlook."
