50th victory for Audi in the DTM

DTM: Title defender Timo Scheider celebrated his first exploit of the season at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and thus clinched the 50th victory for Audi in the DTM. Mattias Ekstrom and Martin Tomczyk completed a commanding 1-2-3 win for Audi. Tom Kristensen, on the other hand, the quickest in qualifying, was struck by misfortune. His Audi A4 DTM was not standing exactly within the lines marking the position on the starting grid. After a drive-through penalty the Dane pushed forward to eighth place again from 17th. After the first half of the season Mattias Ekstrom has the same overall point score as leader of the standings Gary Paffett (Mercedes). Timo Scheider ranks just one point behind them in third place.

Good qualifying, misfortune in the race

LMS: After a good qualifying performance with grid positions six and eight, the private Audi customer team Kolles was the victim of major misfortune at the third round of the Le Mans Series at Portimao (Portugal): Right at the beginning of the 1000-kilometer race the two Audi R10 TDI cars became entangled in an unfortunate collision resulting in long repair stops. In the end, none of the two cars were classified.
