DTM goes Düsseldorf. On 25th and 26th March, 2006, Europe's most popular touring car series is going to celebrate its season launch in North Rhine-Westphalia's regional capital, Düsseldorf.

For two days, motor racing will take the centre stage at the capital's famous shopping street 'Königsallee'. "We are proud that Düsseldorf invited us to celebrate the 2006 DTM Launch in this sports city," said ITR Chairman Hans Werner Aufrecht. "We are going to provide Düsseldorf and the entire North Rhine-Westhpalia region a great weekend."

Düsseldorf's Lord Mayor, Joachim Erwin, is also delighted that DTM will come to Düsseldorf. "Cars, lifestyle, and top class sports - all this suits Düsseldorf perfectly. We are extremely delighted that DTM is going to hold its 2006 launch in our city."

Numerous activities will provide the spectators with a close-up impression of DTM. The manufacturers involved in the series will launch their new cars and the 2006 drivers' field.

In the paddock, erected at the 'Kö', the DTM aces will be interviewed and are going to sign autographs, with the DTM car driving activities on Sunday, 26th March, 2006, representing the definite highlight of the DTM Launch. During the pit stop competitions and demonstration laps at the Königsallee, the crowds will enjoy a pure and close-up motor racing experience.
