Official NHRA Sponsor Will Continue With Snake Racing, Tommy Johnson, Jr.

GREENWICH, Conn. (Nov. 17, 2004) - Skoal Racing announced today its plans for the 2005 drag racing season. As an official NHRA sponsor, Skoal Racing will remain involved in NHRA POWERade Drag Racing and its Skoal Showdown, as well as NHRA Summit Sport Compact Drag Racing.

Skoal Racing will also continue its valued relationship with legendary drag racer Don "The Snake" Prudhomme's Snake Racing and is pleased to announce that Tommy Johnson, Jr. will remain as pilot of the Skoal Racing Blue Funny Car in 2005.

Ron Capps - who drove the Skoal Racing Green Funny Car - concluded a long and successful relationship with both Skoal Racing and Don Prudhomme, by officially resigning from Snake Racing this week.

"We value the eight-year relationship we had with Ron and wish him continued success in his future endeavors," said Tom LoBosco, U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) senior director, 1-on-1 marketing.

"We also remain steadfast in our belief that NHRA Drag Racing remains one of the most exhilarating sports in the nation. As an official NHRA sponsor and our continued support of Tommy Johnson, Jr., we look forward to the 2005 season and the continued growth of drag racing."
