Wally Stroupe Culminates Return To Competition By Qualifying

NORWALK, OH-- It was only March when Pro Modified racer Wally Stroupe found himself laying on the Bradenton asphalt writhing in agony from burns suffered in a horrific crash. August provided a different setting as Stroupe fell to his knees on the Norwalk asphalt to give thanks to higher authorities for allowing him to return to the sport.

It marked the first time that he'd driven a race car in IHRA Competition since the mishap. He showed he never lost a step by making the program at 15th with a 6.55/210.44.

Stroupe confided that it has been a long time coming for his return.

"Thank God for all of those that stood by me," said Stroupe. "Trim Parts and my family have given me immeasurable support. That kind of support can take a man a long way."
