Highlights: Despite a challenge from Lance Ho Lung, who took the Castrol SYNTEC Outperforms bonus money away from him, JoJo Callos continued to dominate the NOPI Drag Racing Series Sunday by winning for the fifth time in six 2003 appearances.

Callos, driving the Team Tactics-prepared Castrol SYNTEC Acura Integra, beat Mike Laskey, Angela Proudfoot and, finally, Ho Lung, to win the Pro 4-Cylinder championship in round eight of "The Fast and The Furious" series at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Callos, who qualified second, just .01 behind Ho Lung (8.770 to 8.760), got a free ride to victory when his opponent was disqualified in the final.

Special: Winners of the Castrol SYNTEC Outperforms bonuses, which recognize the No. 1 qualifiers in the NOPI Drag Racing Series, were George Ioannou in Pro Compact, Vinny Ten in Pro Outlaw RWD, Lisa Kubo in Pro Outlaw FWD, Ho Lung in Pro 4-Cylinder, Norris Prayoonto in Pro Stock and Paul Efantis in Street Tire. The new program awards $500 and a special edition SYNTEC Outperforms hat to the top qualifiers in Pro Compact, Pro Outlaw Front Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive and Pro 4-Cylinder and $400 and a commemorative SYNTEC hat to the No. 1 qualifiers in Pro Stock and Street Tire.

JOJO CALLOS, Castrol SYNTEC Acura Integra Qualifying position and performance: 2nd at 8.770 seconds, 164.25 mph. Race results: Beat Mike Laskey, Angela Proudfoot and Lance Ho Lung. Notable: Extended his points lead by winning for the fifth time in six series appearances this season.
