EPPING, NH-- Pro Modified racer Quain Stott was a player in the quickest field in IHRA North American Nationals history. The veteran driver from Inman, South Carolina qualified sixth in the program with a fine 6.513/216.17. By virtue of his seeding, he was paired against Dale Brinsfield in the first round.

In that first round encounter, he fell short by a very small margin out of the gate. This proved to be a margin that he could not overcome as Brinsfield took the win light with a 6.499/214.14. Stott trailed with a 6.520/215.86.

"We want to win, naturally," explained Stott. "But, just being part of the program is great too. Dale is a good racer, he deserves the credit for winning the race. We will be back in a postive way at Budds Creek."
