CARQUEST RENEWS FOR 1999 SEASON WITH RAY BROS. RACING
GREENVILLE, OHIO (Nov. 7, 1998) -- Ray Bros. Racing announced today the renewal of their partnership with CARQUEST Auto Parts and their IHRA Super Eliminator dragster for the 1999 IHRA Snap-on Drag Racing season. One of the team goals in 1999 will be to promote consumer awareness of the new CARQUEST Credit Card. The car, and team uniforms, will be identified with the CARQUEST Credit Card logo.
"We are thrilled to renew our partnership with CARQUEST," Ray Bros. team owner Stan Ray said. "The credit card is a wonderful deal for the consumer and we will make every effort to make race fans aware of this great new idea from CARQUEST."
The CARQUEST motorsports program is coordinated by advertising director Scott Ginsburg, and has previously announced the re-signing of IHRA Top Fuel champion Paul Romine for the 1999 drag racing season. CARQUEST is a major sponsor of the 1999 Special Olympics, and Scott Ray will join Paul in the race teams' efforts to support these exceptional athletes.
