WHAT: 7th annual Dixie Nationals, the 3rd of 8 stops in the 1998 AMA/Prostar Series.
WHERE: The track is on Route 1 South between Petersburg and Dinwiddie. From Interstate 85 South, use exit 63A and travel south on Route 1 five miles. The track is on the right. From Interstate 85 North, use exit 53 and travel west one mile to Route 1, then north on Route 1 seven miles. The track is on the left.
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, May 30-31, 1998
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
-SATURDAY: Gates open at 7 a.m. Qualifying for some classes begin at 9:30 a.m, professional classes qualify at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
-SUNDAY: Gates open at 7:30 a.m., elimination’s for sportsman classes begins at 9:00 a.m., opening ceremonies and professional elimination’s at 11:00 a.m.
FEATURE: More than 500 racers competing in the fourteen categories of competition. Featuring the extremes of all extremes, the Top Fuel bikes, nitro-powered motorcycles capable of speeds exceeding 230 mph; turbo charged Funnybikes; nitrous oxide-injected Pro Mods; Pro Stock, the factory hot rods; 750 Superbike and 600 Super Sports, showroom stock; the world famous Streetbike Shootout, and several other classes in side-by-side racing.

TICKETS: $20 each day or $35 both days. Juniors, ages 2-12, $5 each day. Children, ages 10 and under, free when accompanied by a paid adult. Pit pass included in general admission price. AMA Members and groups, $15 each day with membership card.
