Sherco TVS duo in top 10 at the end of stage seven

Alain Duclos and Joan Pedrero made steady progress to finish inside the top 10 of the Dakar Rally at the end of the seventh stage on Saturday.

Both the Sherco TVS riders ran close to each other in the 336km Uyuni-Salta stage with Duclos staying ahead of his Spanish teammate in the overall standings.

The French rider was ninth while Pedrero moved up to 10th position in the suspended stage won by KTM's Antoine Meo while Honda's Paulo Goncalves leads the rally.

Sherco TVS riders enjoyed the stage as they ran inside the top 15 at every way point. It was Duclos who edged out Pedrero in the stage seven.

The #20 Duclos finished 13th while the #17 Pedrero was 14th as both were separated by a mere 0.005s on their RTR 450 bike.

Florent Vaysaade improved from Friday to finish 36th overall and 34th in the stage.
