Duclos, Pedrero maintain steady form in stage six

Alain Duclos and Joan Pedrero kept Sherco TVS' position steady in the overall standings in the Dakar Rally at the end of sixth stage.

While Duclos was 10th in the general rankings, it was Pedrero who enjoyed stage six, finishing ahead of his teammate in the day's run.

The French rider finished 15th in the sixth stage, a 542km loop starting and ending in Uyuni, Bolivia while Pedrero ended 12th.

The Spanish rider missed a top 10 finish as he was classified 11th overall with a time penalty of 2m00s.

He had a poor start to the day dropping to 33rd by way point two before recovering in the later points. But by 10th way point, he fell back again to 33rd before finishing 12th on his RTR 450 bike.

Duclos, meanwhile, had relatively lowly run in the top 20 with a drop to 30th in the fourth point but eventually finished 15th.

Honda's Paulo Goncalves continued to lead as KTM's Toby Price inched closer with a stage win as contender Joan Barreda fell behind due to engine troubles.

Sherco's Florent Vayssade had a poor day finishing 52nd in the stage and falling to 38th overall.
