Dakar Prologue crash: One victim in serious condition

The organisers of the Dakar Rally have released an update regarding the condition of the spectators hurt in a crash in Saturday's Prologue stage.

11 spectators were reported as injured after rally newcomer Guo Meiling lost control of her #360 Mini after landing a jump and veered off-course.

The newest update from the organisers lists one of the onlookers as being in serious condition as he got worse overnight and was transferred to a hospital in Pergamino near Arrecifes.

The father and his 10-year-old son, who were previously reported as gravely injured, are both in stable condition in Hospital de Pilar.

Another spectator, who suffered a fractured femur, has been moved to Hospital Alleman in Buenos Aires. The rest of those injured have been discharged.
