A GREAT DAY FOR THE MOTORSPORT ITALIA TEAM

After the great performance in the first special stage, the 28th Dakar continues in a very good way for the Motorsport Italia Team. Today, in the second stage from Portimao to Malaga, Miki Biasion and his Iveco Trakker finished 3rd behind the Kamaz of Russian Vladimir Tchaguine and the Tatra of Brasilian Andre De Azevedo.

In the general ranking, Biasion is equally 3rd, 6'50" behind Tchaguine and 1'45" behind De Azevedo.

"I am very happy with my truck," said Biasion. "My results so far are beyond any expectations. But the real race begins only in Africa: the first days we will have to drive carefully, checking that everything is working perfectly. After that we will be able to attack".

Spaniard Pep Vila, with the second Trakker, today finished 5th, 8'41" behind Tchaguine, and Finnish Marrku Alen followed him woth the third Iveco. In the general ranking, Villa is 4th at 16'14", Alen 5th at 16'47".
