GRP ready for the big day....

The entire fleet of the GINAF Rally Power team is ready for 'the big day' tomorrow. On Thursday 3 January the GRP competition trucks and support cars will be submitted to highly critical yet essential technical testing.

At 7.30 this morning the full FRP formation set off from Burgos towards Lisbon. The team encountered few obstacles during the 700 kilometre trip but

the intended 'car wash' was a no-go... due to an inadequate navigation system.

At around 4.30 p.m. the whole team arrived at the support park in the Portuguese capital. A section of the southern dock area in Lisbon serves as collection point for the trucks, cars and bikes to be tested on Thursday. The competition trucks are not allowed to leave the grounds until then.

In the late afternoon and early evening the GINAF Rally Power mechanics have 'the time of their lives'....

The trucks, all in tip-top technical condition, await the technical judgement the organisers will pass tomorrow...

The men of the ever-enthusiastic, driven GRP team will spend the next few nights in the Aviz hotel in the centre of Lisbon. No need for the team to get bored there either...
