Vladimir Vasiliev and Boris Kuzmich put all their efforts in the 12th stage of the Dakar event to make up lost ground due to the flooding that force the 11th stage to be cancelled after CP1.
The Dakar does Trophy-Raid in flooded conditions are 11th stage. Boris Gadasin and co-driver Alexey Kuzmich were not worried about the flash floods.
Boris Gadasin's #348 and Vladimir Valiliev's #331 Protos finish in top 10 on stage 10.
The longest stage yet in the Dakar tested the rookie team with the fine sand.
A cautious approach paid off for team leader Gadasin with an 8th place. Vasiliev was had a hard day with two punctures.
