Shannonville (ON), September 4, 2006. The last weekend of the 2006 Part Canada Superbike Championship provided an opportunity for both Team Toyota Yamaha Racing riders to shine, with wins in both classes, and four podium finishes.

Pascal Picotte victory in Pro 600 was absolutely dominant. "After the morning warm-up knew that my Yamaha R6 was capable of winning. I pulled off a better start than the others on the front row, and was able to gain a second a lap on everyone until I eased up near the end of the race." Pascal's Superbike race did not go off as smoothly. "I did two wheelies right off the line and ended up 6th or something coming out of the first corner. It was then a matter of passing that pack and closing the gap to Kevin, who was running second and fighting for the lead. I was starting to plan my final attack when I got caught out while we were lapping slower riders, and had to go up an escape road. That put me well behind the two leaders and I decide it was impossible to catch them again. Third was not the position I had in mind, but getting on the podium was good for the team and our partners."

Kevin Lacombe also had a great day, showcasing his great talent in the Superbike race. "To be honest, there was nothing I could do about Pascal in the 600 race. He just disappeared and left the rest of us to work out the details like second and third place." Kevin got his opportunity to shine in the Superbike race, and won out after an incredibly close battle. "I was able to fight off Francis Martin's attacks for all 20 laps, but it was incredibly intense, both of us getting sideways in the rain and dropping a wheel off the track or sliding the rear now and then. I finally got by him three laps from the end and then got a bit lucky with some lappers. What a race, I can't wait to watch it on TV!""

Kevin finished second in both championships, just behind winner Jordan Szoke in both classes, while Pascal Picotte secured third in Superbike and a fifth in Pro 600.
