The racing firm of Picotte & Lacombe -- Taking Mosport by storm in Parts Canada Superbike Championship double weekend

Montreal, July 11, 2006. The world famous track will be the scene of rounds 4 and 5 of the 2006 Parts Canada Superbike Championship, with Superbike and Pro 600 Sportbike finals on both Saturday and Sunday.

Kevin Lacombe has had a great season so far, with 5 podium finishes out of six races and a win in Pro 600 Sportbike at the last round in Calgary. He is now second in season points in Superbike, 41 markers behind leader Jordan Szoke (160 pts.), and third in Pro 600 Sportbike, a mere 9 points behind the selfsame Szoke (128).

The new-this-year Team Toyota Yamaha Racing rider is ready to eat bear this coming weekend. "The bikes are now even or better than the competition, and I am shooting for four victories this week end, unless the boss has other ideas of course!"

Pascal is looking for his first weekend of real racing after a nasty pre-season injury slowed him down in previous rounds. As a result, Pascal is 5th in both classes, 70 markers behind in Superbike, and 42 behind in Pro 600 Sportbike.

Mosport is well suited to Pascal's style. "I like smooth, high speed tracks like Mosport. Kevin and I have been practicing hard on our small dirt bikes for two weeks, to be physically and mentally ready for this important weekend. My knees are now close to 100% and we will definitely be fighting for wins in every race."

The weekend is key to Pascal's championship aspirations. "Kevin is close to the front in Pro 600 and well within reach in Superbike. I need to beat the leaders comprehensively from now on if I am to stay in the championship races. We are now both healthy and ready to work together and win. Watch out everyone, the blue, white and red machines are back!"

Practice and qualifying will take place on Friday, July 14, and full race programs will take place on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday July 16.
