Tuesday, June 12, 2001 (Houston, Texas, USA): The SCCA Driver's Meeting with the Spina Bifida Kids has been canceled due to complications at Texas Childrens Hospital caused by weather this past weekend. The Houston Region Sports Car Club of America regrets not being able to meet with the kids of Spina Bifida Association prior to the Fiesta Carrera sports car races to be held on June 16 and 17 at Texas World Speedway.

The SCCA has been selling tickets to benefit Spina Bifida Association of Texas Gulf Coast. The races will feature SCCA racing cars and each race car driver will sponsor a child afflicted with Spina Bifida.

General admission tickets are $15 for a weekend pass that includes parking, access to grandstands, paddock and Pit Side Suites. $11 of every ticket is donated to the charity and $15 of any unused tickets is donated to Spina Bifida.

Tickets may be purchased from any member of Spina Bifida Association, Houston Region SCCA, ProAm Auto Parts and on the web at www.hiperfuels.com. Corporate sponsorship and VIP passes are also available.

Camping facilities are available and breakfast and lunch will be available at the snack bar. Spina Bifida will also sell commemorative T-Shirts at the race.
