A Year of Giving
Longs, SC-For most, the Holiday Season is a time of giving. For the USAR Women's Auxiliary, giving is a year-round effort.
Week in and week out, the USAR Women's Auxiliary is busy making sure that people in need are less burdened.
Through the course of the year, the Women's Auxiliary raised over $1,400, headed at Toy Drive for underprivileged children in Radford, Va., and sent flowers and gifts when needed.
In addition, the group collected money for Red Cross Disaster Relief, donated $300 to the Toys For Tots and sent $200 to the National MS Foundation in memory of Randy Dorton.
"It's a pleasure to have such a passionate Women's Auxiliary in USAR," said Tony Cox, USAR director of operations. "Each week, they give their time and effort to ensure that someone's life can be a little better. It's a privilege to have them as part of our series."
In 2005, the USAR Women's Auxiliary will continue giving and helping in anyway they can.
