BLACK'S TIRE SERVICE TO HOST BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PRO CUP SERIES RACE AT MYRTLE BEACH

Concord, NC -- May 6, 2009 -- In conjunction with the USARacing Pro Cup Series race at Myrtle Beach Speedway on June 20th, BTS will host its ninth annual Black's Tire Service Boys and Girls Homes Benefit Golf Tournament to be held at the Myrtle Beach National Championship Golf Course on Friday, June 19, 2009. Black's Tire Service (BTS Tire & Wheel Distributor) provides primary sponsorship to current Pro Cup Series point's leader, Drew Herring, and the No. 22s team.

For more than fifty years, Boys and Girls Homes at Lake Waccamaw have been caring for children from the community who may have been abused, neglected, or even abandoned. BTS believes in the inherent goodness of every child and strives to provide the help and encouragement they need to believe in themselves and to become productive members of their community. Black's Tire Service has a long history of supporting Boys and Girls Homes. The founder of Black's Tire, W. Crowell Black, was a member of the Homes' original board of directors. For the past nine years, Black's Tire and its employees have held a golf tournament to help the Homes meet the financial costs of caring for the children with over $220,000 having been raised by the tournaments.

Anyone desiring to play in the tournament may do so for a fee of $75 per player or $300 for a foursome. This includes greens and cart fees, lunch, refreshments, and prizes. Those interested in making a tax deductible contribution, sponsorship or participating in this worthwhile event should contact Rick Benton at 910-642-4123 or Ray Cockrell at 910-646-3083. The deadline for sponsorships is June 5th.
