Kahne Returns to Richmond International Raceway for the NASCAR Doubleheader Weekend April 30-May 1

RICHMOND (3/31/10) -- NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Kasey Kahne swapped his driver's suit and helmet yesterday for a custom-made blue camouflage jersey, protective face mask and a high-tech paintball gun and joined SPEED TV personality Hermie Sadler, Richmond International Raceway president Doug Fritz and fans in a paintball battle for charity.

Richmond International Raceway and Splat Brothers Paintball in Prince George, Virginia hosted the event, which featured two teams consisting of fans and paintballers led by Kahne and Sadler. Fans purchased the opportunity to play alongside Kahne and Sadler with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Kasey Kahne Foundation.

Both Kahne and Sadler will return to Richmond in just a few weeks, when Richmond International Raceway hosts its Spring NASCAR Doubleheader Weekend, featuring the Crown Royal Presents The Heath Calhoun 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday night, May 1.

"I always enjoy coming back to Richmond," said Kahne, who earned his first Sprint Cup Series win at Richmond International Raceway in 2005. "Richmond at night, it's always a great race. Everyone goes for it. It's bumps and bangs. It's a pretty interesting and exciting weekend at Richmond."
