Sports Car Club of America -Houston Region raises $6000.00 for SBATGC!!!!
At their meeting September 21, 2000, the Houston Region of the Sports Car Club of America presented a check for $6000.00 to the Spina Bifida Association of Texas Gulf Coast. The presentation was made by President Rod Dundas and Director of Special Events Jess Hewitt. Rod and Jess together with SBATGC Board Member Leslie Davis, coordinated the Fiesta Carrera event benefiting SBATGC.
Bill Rowden and Vahid Navissi did something wonderful for our Spina Bifida Association. On their own, without being approached by us, they were moved to raise money for our kids. On Thursday, September 28, they presented us with a check for $1,200. We have been blessed in so many ways by our association with the SCCA - the visit from the drivers at TCH, the fun we had at the track, the trophies and other personal racing treasures some of the drivers shared with "their kids" and finally, this wonderful gift from Bill and Vahid. Thank you, again, to the Houston Region of the Sports Car Club of America for your continuing support of our families! <pre> For information about the Chat Group or location/directions please contact: Irene Townsend, R.N Nurse Research Coordinator, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Pediatrics, University of Texas Health Science Center, Phone: (713) 500-3678 or Fax: (713) 500-3818. www.hiperfuels.com
