FIRESTONE RACING "EVENING OF GIVING" PROMISES BIG-BID EXCITEMENT Fun-filled Benefit Will Feature Live and Silent Auctions, Music from Carl Storie Band

INDIANAPOLIS (May 4, 2006) - Take a fast lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. If you're more hands-on, get down and dirty and feel the adrenaline that a crewmember experiences on race day. Maybe you'd rather jet off to a delightful destination such as Cancun or New York City.

All these dreams and more are possible by attending the Firestone Racing "Evening of Giving" Benefit Concert and Auction, set for Monday, May 8 at the Music Mill on Indianapolis' north side. The fundraiser presented by WTTS 92.3 FM will feature Indianapolis 500 drivers and celebrities, live and silent auctions, and music from the great Carl Storie Band. Proceeds benefit Racing for Corey, Indiana Children's Wish Fund and IRL Kids.

Among the many desirable items up for bid in the live auction are:

* An Indy Racing two-seater ride around Indianapolis Motor Speedway, driven by a professional racer

* The chance to be an honorary pit crewmember for the Sam Schmidt Motorsports team at the Indy Pro Series Freedom 100 on Friday, May 26 at IMS

* Roundtrip airfare from Chicago to Cancun or Chicago to New York on ATA Airlines

* A framed Firestone Racing jacket signed by all 20 starters at the Indy Japan 300 last month in Motegi, Japan, as well as racing greats Michael Andretti, A.J. Foyt, Bobby Rahal, Johnny Rutherford and Al Unser - a total of eight different Indy 500 winners who've combined for 17 victories at the Brickyard.

The inaugural Firestone Racing "Evening of Giving" Benefit Concert and Auction, also sponsored by NUVO, runs from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Music Mill, 3720 East 82nd Street, in the Clearwater Crossing shopping center between Keystone Avenue and Allisonville Road. The silent auction goes from 6-8:45 p.m. and features for bid racing attire, tickets and other fast-paced prizes. The autograph session at 6 p.m. is scheduled to include current and future racing stars. The Carl Storie Band will perform two memorable sets, with the live auction beginning at 8 p.m. during the band's intermission.

Admission is $60 per person (must be 21 years or older to attend). VIP tables for 12 are $600 and VIP tables for 10 are $500. Donations are tax deductible, but space is limited. For reservations, call (317) 356-7279.

Racing for Corey was founded in 1999 in memory of a 9-year-old Indiana Children's Wish child, Corey Hanchar. Corey was granted a wish from Indiana Children's Wish Fund and received a red quarter-midget car. Now his inspiration continues through various Racing for Corey events. www.racingforcorey.com

Indiana Children's Wish Fund, established in 1984, grants wishes to Indiana children, ages 2-19, who suffer from life-threatening illnesses. To date, the Wish Fund has granted nearly 1,600 wishes for Indiana children. www.indywish.org

Founded in 1988, the IRL Kids on-site childcare program has become a significant part of the racing community. Provided to all participants of the Indy Racing League, through IRL Kids, families have the opportunity to stay together while traveling the IRL circuit.
