Pontiac Helmet Raffle Raises Money for Columbus Children's Hospital
NHRA Drivers Make Annual Visit to World Renowned Pedriatic Center

COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 23, 2006 The total proceeds collected from this year's -annual Pontiac Motorsports "Helmet of Champions" raffle for the Columbus Children's Hospital came to $7003.00. Matt Levering from the Children's Hospital Foundation was on hand to accept the check on behalf of the world renowned pediatric center. Phil Baurle of Pittsburgh was the helmet winner.

In addition, drivers from the NHRA and the GM Racing program made their annual stop at the Columbus Children's Hospital on Thursday, May 18. Since the 1999 Pontiac Performance NHRA Nationals, GM Racers have made the visit to one of the nation's premier children's facilities. Signing autographs at Children's, and visiting with the kids and their families were Kurt Johnson, Jim Yates, Cory McClenathan, Jason Line, Mike Edwards, Mark Pawuk, Ron Krisher, Morgan Lucas, and Hillary Will. Kurt Johnson's ACDelco Chevy Cobalt was also on display at the outpatient entrance to the hospital and allowed the kids to get an up-close view of an NHRA Pro Stock Car. All of the children  who were patients at the hospital received a gift bag provided by Pontiac and Summit Racing. The visit was featured on ESPN2 during the weekly telecast of NHRA Today on Sunday, May 21.
