Charlotte, NC (May 15, 2001) - The AnimalAdoption League, a nonprofit group that rescues, provides vet care and placeshomeless and abused animals into permanent homes and ST Motorsports, whichfields the No. 59 Kingsford Charcoal Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series, areholding the Fifth Annual Race for Animals Auction on Friday, May 25, 2001. All proceeds from the event will benefit theAnimal Adoption League's efforts in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas.

The Race for Animals Auction will feature alarge array of NASCAR memorabilia and collectibles from several top driversincluding an autographed Dale Earnhardt driver suit. It is being held at theAMC Auction Company Group Warehouse located at 570 Cabarrus Avenue West inConcord, NC. Auction items can beviewed at 3:00 p.m. and the auction will begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Animal Adoption League placesapproximately 1000 abandoned or unwanted animals into permanent, loving homesper year. They also provide veterinarycare, offer spay/neuter programs to the community and focus their efforts intoeducating the public on the importance of reducing pet overpopulation.
