NEW REGULARITY EVENT TO BE RUN WITH EAST AFRICAN CLASSIC SAFARI
Organisers of this year's East African Classic Safari Rally have announced that they will also be running a Regularity event to be known as the Safari Challenge. The Challenge will run behind the Rally from 22nd November to 1st December and should suit those wanting to drive the route of this historic event at a more sedate pace.
The Start and Finish are on Mombasa's North Beach whilst two nights will be spent at Voi Wildlife lodge, two nights at The Ngurudoto in Arusha and two nights alongside Lake Naivasha. The icing on the cake is two nights at one of the great lodges in Amboseli Game Reserve with a complete day off to enable competitors to see a huge variety of animals.
The event will be run with the assistance of Trans World Motorsports whose Ron Jackson will be Clerk of the Course whilst colleague, Mike Summerfield, will be deputy Clerk of the Course for the Classic Rally.
Surinder Thatthi, Event Director for both events said, "Instead of specialist rally cars this should enable anyone with a 4x4 SUV or suitable vehicle to drive at less car damaging speeds whilst still competing. We also have rental vehicles to be available for those who do not wish to use their own."
