PHARAONS CLASSIC: THE VICTORY OF FERET/PIGNY

Yesterday, together with Pharaons Rally, Pharaons Classic arrived to the end. The beautiful formula that measures abilities of those who want to feel the poetry of the Egyptian desert without the pressure of time. After the withdrawal of Belotti/Gaggiani on the fifth stage, the victory goes to Feret/Pigny.

EL ALAMEIN - Six intense days, six beautiful stages in the Egyptian desert. The secret is on doing the most of the race routes. Pharaons Classic is a race of skills, a challenge with yourself. The more of the race kilometers covered the most of scored points and if the scores are equal, the victory goes to the older car.

A special formula for drivers who want to participate in Pharaons and discover it's dream roads, but without worrying about time. But competition is not away from it and ten teams have been in this category in 2010 for a very passionate battle. Eight cars from France and two Italians, Nappée/Oliveira driving the oldest car in the race.

The contest in the desert was exciting and uncertain after the first stages, five cars were in the classification. The fifth journey of Pharaons changed all cars on the table: The leaders, Belotti/Gaggiani, had an incident after flying over a dune. Nothing bad fortunately, but the regret of having to abandon Pharaons Classic not so far from El Alamein, before the final stage.

The final victory goes to the French crew Feret/Pigny with other three teams that finish with the same amount of points: Callens/Callens, Dalbon/Menesson and Labarbe/Normand. The victory belongs to Feret/Pigny because of the "age" of the car in the adventure, before Abitabile/Rucquoy, Belotti/Gaggiani, Cantoni/Bartyan, Nappee/Oliveira and Chatauret/Rossi.
