Trenker looks fit for Challenge on rally prologue
The DHL TT Racing team German Moto rider Tim Trenker starts his sixth attempt on UAE Desert Challenge with good start on prologue based on Horse race course of Jabal Ali in Dubai, Sunday afternoon. The track contain many hard hairpins with soft sand, needs some driving techniques, looks a small warm up stage before real action start on Monday morning.
Trenker finish the stage on 27th place with half a minute behind Spaniard Marc Coma, who won the prologue with two minutes, thirty two seconds. Trenker scored three minutes and two seconds to start on first stage from twenty seventh position, but he looking forward for improves his performance during special stages.
Moto category won by Spaniard Marc Coma following by world title contender Norwegian Pal-Andres Ullevalseter.
Auto category won by ex-desert challenge winner Frenchman Bruno Saby ahead of ex-world rally champion Scotsman Colin McRae, with Japanese Hiroshi Masouka third ahead of Desert Challenge defending champion Frenchman Stephane Peterhansel.
