Orgnanisers of the WPS Bathurst 12-Hour Showroom Enduro are calling out to motor racing fans of all types to be a part of their 2009 Event at the spiritual home of motorsport in Australia, Mount Panorama, on February 20-22, 2009.

Leading the call for volunteers at the Event is Volunteer Manager Robert 'Ned' Stanley. The Queenslander, who has been volunteering at motorsport events for over 15 years, believes that the door is wide open to anyone looking to make an enthusiastic contribution to the Event either from the local surrounds or far away.

Volunteers at the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of roles to suit what they will enjoy. Some of the roles that are available for volunteers to benefit from include grandstand attendants, corporate suite attendants, welcome staff and administration assistance.

The 2009 Event will be Stanley's 39th as a volunteer. He is also a regular sight at the Nikon Indy 300 on the Gold Coast, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and has also previously been a volunteer at the Canberra round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series along with many other Events around the country.

"Coming back to Bathurst for me each event is like coming to a family reunion and meeting up with all my old friends once again, while also enabling me to make new life long friends each time I visit," said Stanley.

"There are many positions still open for people with good communication and people skills, and I certainly encourage anyone who has ever thought about volunteering to give it a go as it is an experience you will never forget.

"Various shifts and roles are available in the accreditation centre, corporate facilities, grandstands, volunteer check-in, the media centre, on gates and also with the car displays throughout the event, so there is something for everyone.

"Anyone wishing to get involved should act quickly, with the event now only four months away!"

Each volunteer official will receive the following upon their involvement in the 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro: a three day pass with lanyard and a three day guest pass for a friend; a complimentary campground site; complimentary fleecy vest, shirt and cap; a complimentary poster; a certificate of appreciation; lunches and drinks daily and breakfast on the Sunday morning prior to the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to attend a special volunteers 'Post Event Party' held after the Race on Sunday February 22.

The 2009 WPS Bathurst Showroom Enduro will be held at Mount Panorama on February 20-22.

The 2008 WPS 12 Hour Showroom Enduro attracted in excess of 100 drivers across 37 entries from various parts of Australia and New Zealand with the Mitsubishi Evo 9 of Damien White, Graham Alexander and Rod Salmon taking the victory.
