MCNALLY READY FOR HOME TRACK CHALLENGE

Mark McNally heads to his home track, Victoria's Winton Raceway, for Round 5 of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series this weekend and is looking to get his season back on track after a tough run at Queensland Raceway two weeks ago.

Having done more laps around Winton than any other track Mark has an excellent baseline set-up for what will be a tough round of racing.

"Being my home track will not reduce the competition at all," Mark said.

"A lot of guys are based at Winton and to discount the competition in this Series would be a mistake."

Mark has good form at Winton, qualifying in the top five last year and running strongly before being disqualified and sent to the rear of the field when his crew failed to have the car weighed after the race.

"I have been stewing and analyzing everything since Queensland about how we could have done things better and what we will do differently this weekend.

"It was so frustrating to have the problems that we did and I really need to turn it around this weekend."

The weather at Winton is set to be cold and possibly wet which will throw an extra element into play this weekend.

"We can't control the weather so I will deal with whatever it throws up; Everyone is in the same situation."

Mark has practice on Friday, Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday with the final two race on Sunday.
