MCNALLY RELAXED BEFORE QLD ATTACK

Mark McNally has headed to Brisbane for a few days of rest and relaxation before Round 4 of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series at Queensland Raceway this weekend.

After making some huge gains with the car set-up at Victoria's Sandown Raceway last time out Mark is looking forward to the challenge of putting together a strong performance at the track which proved troublesome for the West Australian last year.

"I don't really know what went wrong here last year," Mark said.

"But that was 12 months ago and I am in a completely different situation this year.

"We have made some huge improvements to the car and I am confident that I will be able to some fast lap times this weekend."

Mark has spent the past few days on the beach in an effort to relax and get focused for the weekend ahead.

"It is good just to do nothing for a few days and clear my head," he said.

"It will be a competitive weekend, every race meeting is, but I know the guys are right on top of the car set-up and can tune it into pretty much whatever the track throws up."

Sandown Raceway put Mark inside the top ten in the final race which is something he would like to do again this weekend.

"If we can get off to a good start in qualifying it will set me up for a strong weekend."

Mark has practice on Friday and qualifying and race 1 on Saturday with Race 2 and 3 on Sunday.
