SUPERCARS TO BE A PART OF WPS BATHURST 12 HOUR

A selection of the world's most prestigious cars will be on-track during the 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro February 20-22, with The Supercar Club announced today as the official vehicle suppliers of the Event.

The Supercar Club will provide the official vehicles for the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro for use in duties such as the Safety and Course Cars over the three-day Event.

The Supercar Club is designed to offer its members immediate access to Australia's ultimate Supercar collection including the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche, for an annual membership fee without the drawbacks and massive cost of ownership.

"We are pleased to welcome The Supercar Club and their unique service to the 2009 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour," said Event Director James O'Brien.

"It's a motoring enthusiasts dream to take the wheel of the Supercar Club's cars, with the Club sure to make many new fans as their vehicles circulate the Track each day.

"The presence of such aspirational cars is a bonus for the spectators, who might actually enjoy the safety car stoppages for once"

Richard Thomas, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Supercar Club, said he expected to see a positive response from the crowd to the company's vehicles.

"The Supercar Club is very much looking forward to being a part of the activities at the WPS Bathurst 12Hour, it is a great platform for us to be able to highlight the benefits of the Supercar Club," said Thomas.

"Some of the vehicles which will be used in an official capacity include the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, a Ford GT (one of only two right hand drive Ford GTs in the World), and a Mercedes Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series.

"Along with having a variety of the world's top Supercars as the official Safety and Course Cars we are excited to have on display a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead, which has been recently added to the Club."

The Supercar Club has locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and club members exchange their points for driving time in cars throughout their membership year. For more information please visit www.supercarclub.com.au
