WPS BATHURST 12 HOUR - HOUR NINE

At the close of hour nine the top outright contenders are:
Klark Quinn - #29 Mitsubishi Evo IX RS
Graham Alexander - #87 -- Mitsubishi Evo IX
Garry Holt - #20 -- BMW 335i
Barry Morcom - #11 -- BMW 335i
Terry Whyhoon - #43 -- Holden VY HSV GT

It has been a tumultuous hour for Carrera Cup ace David Wall, who after coming from being a lap behind to be second-placed behind Klark Quinn (#29) at the eight hour 15 minute mark, has seen his Mitsubishi EVO IX pushed into the garage for a brake replacement on lap 183, eight hours and 42 minutes into the Race, rejoining approximately ten minutes later in fifth place and four laps down, with Terry Wyhoon taking over the driving duties from Wall.

Quinn is having no such troubles at present, lapping the fourth placed Garry Holt to see he and second-placed Graham Alexander (#87) the only two remaining on the lead lap. Since that pass, which was on lap 175 at the eight hours, 22 minutes mark, Quinn has extended his gap over Alexander to two minutes 17 seconds.

At the close of the hour Barry Morcom's BMW335i was rolled into the garage briefly and then rejoined in fourth; entry #93 was served with a drive-through penalty for speeding in pit lane; and the crews of both leading #29 and second-placed #87 appeared to be preparing for driver changes -- at that time Quinn's lead over Alexander had extended to two minutes and 22 seconds.
