'MATCH THE DEAL' JOIN RACING SILVERLINE

With the eagerly-awaited second half of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship season back on track this weekend at Snetterton, Norfolk, Racing Silverline are pleased to announce a new partnership with MatchTheDeal.com.

This weekend will see both cars of Jason Plato and Mat Jackson adorned with the new logos, creating a slightly new look for the RML run Chevrolet- Lacettis.

MatchTheDeal.com is aiming to take the hassle out of haggling over car prices by getting dealers to give customers their lowest possible price from the outset. The new website, www.matchthedeal.com, will get car seekers to enter the make, model, colour etc. of the car they are looking for. Then dealers provide the three lowest prices (not screen prices) for cars matching that description from a huge network of hundreds of dealers up and down the country. Although not instant like your run of the mill car search engines, MatchTheDeal.com creator Jonathan Norman believes the new site will offer something extra to potential buyers:

"Even after all the television shows and press articles advising people how to haggle with car dealers to get money off, it is simply not in some people's nature to do it. Dealers make deals. There's no mystery there, that's what they do. But if you don't ask for a lower price and apply a bit of pressure they're certainly not going to volunteer to take money off their profit margin. That's where MatchTheDeal.com can help. We apply leverage by giving the dealer one chance and one chance only to offer a good price to someone definitely looking to buy. If it's not one of the lowest prices that comes back from the network then they lose the chance of a sale. This all happens within 24 hours, so it's quick, easy and it saves you money. Simply ask for the new or used car you are looking for and get the best possible price from our reputable dealer network."

MatchTheDeal.com is currently being tested and has more than 500 car dealers vying to offer the lowest prices for new and used cars.

Jason Plato commented: "We all know how tricky it can be to buy a car; hours of searching, visiting show room after show room trying to find the right deal and for many of us, negotiating on such a big purchase can be a very daunting prospect. Whilst the current economic climate may have assisted the shrewd purchasers amongst us, it can still be intimidating to seek the best deals available.

It's a simple concept that MatchTheDeal.com has created, but will be of a great benefit to all. It provides a cost-effective, time-sensitive solution to grabbing a bargain. And we all like to think we've got a bargain.

And it's great to see them in the UK's premier motorsport championship, not only for the great exposure and coverage they will undoubtedly receive, but it also reaffirms that this championship is still a major player in the marketing field."

Mat Jackson was also pleased with the announcement: "It's great to see new sponsors coming into BTCC and of course, that is what keeps the drivers' competing at the top end of such a high-level championship.

Given our late arrival into this season, it's been really encouraging to see how quick the Chevrolet-Lacetti is out of the box. We're still learning as we go into each round, but with the great support of our sponsors and now with the addition of MatchTheDeal.com, we're able to get out there and show what we're capable of, already with two wins this year from Jason and myself.

We're aiming for some podium finishes this weekend, so hopefully can give MatchTheDeal.com a great introduction to the BTCC."

BTCC Rounds 16, 17 & 18 will be televised live this Sunday on ITV4 from 1100 - 1800.
